Contributor Rewards & Support
When you contribute to nexu, we want it to be more than just "PR merged" — it also means:
- Every sincere effort you make is seen
- Your contribution doesn't just live in the merge history
- Your growth is continuously recorded and accumulated
- You feel welcomed even on your first contribution
What Support We Provide
For good-first-issue and first-time contributors, we try to provide:
- Clearer task scope: We break tasks into small, clear, verifiable pieces
- More specific review feedback: If changes are needed, we explain why and suggest direction
- First-time contribution guidance: We provide necessary context and advice for newcomers
- Public appreciation & points: After merge, you enter the contributor appreciation and points flow

Current Points System
The following is the current framework; if the team announces adjustments later, the latest version prevails:

|---|---|---|
| PR merged (starter difficulty) | 10 | Typo fixes, config adjustments |
| PR merged (easy difficulty) | 25 | Bug fixes, small features |
| PR merged (medium difficulty) | 50 | Complete feature implementation |
| PR merged (advanced difficulty) | 100 | Architecture-level changes |
| Skill published to ClawHub | 80 | Standalone runnable Skill |
| Bug Report (confirmed) | 10 | Bug report with clear reproduction steps |
| Documentation | 15-30 | Based on length and depth |
| Translation | 20 / language | Per language pack |
| Code Review (adopted) | 15 | Review with substantive suggestions |
| Discussion quality answer | 10 | Reply marked as Answer |
| Refer a new contributor | 20 | Given to referrer after referee's first PR merges |
What These Points Mean
Points aren't for "gamified grinding" — they're for recording every valuable contribution seriously.
- Small fixes matter too
- Docs, translations, and reviews are no longer overlooked
- First-time contributors get clearer positive feedback
- Long-term contributors build visible identity in the community
- Points can be redeemed for community badges
- Points also build your open-source contribution resume
